Due to overwhelming demand for this program, we are closing the registration process.

We will have other programs available in the coming days to help those in our community who have been impacted by the public health crisis caused by COVID-19.

In addition, there is an emergency food distribution event sponsored by Essex County Executive Joseph DiVincenzo, the Essex County Freeholder Board and The Community Food Bank of New Jersey on Tuesday, April 28 at 10 a.m. in Essex County Branch Brook Park, Cherry Blossom Welcome Center. No registration is required. See below for more details. Click here to download the flier.

It only provides food to people who have a car, but those who do not have a car and have nothing to eat at home are excluded from society. Yesterday, April 28, the food delivery in the park had the worst disorganization ever seen. Then you see those leaders looking for house-to-house votes for the elections or sending electoral propaganda by mail there if they remember people who don’t have a car.

I don’t even have a car , and this is the second time I see the city giving food packages only to people who can drive through.😔
