ARJ Civic Association Third Annual Golf Outing

The Anibal Ramos Jr. Civic Association held it's Third Annual Golf Outing on Oct. 8, 2015 at the Francis A. Byrne Golf Course in West Orange, raising more than $50,000 for charity.

During the course of the next year, ARJ Civic will use the proceeds for a variety of community activities, including turkey giveaways at Thanksgiving, Movies Under the Stars at Branch Brook Park during the summer, back to school backpack distribution, senior events around Mother’s Day and Valentines Day, a toy drive and holiday party, and, our signature event, the ARJ Civic Scholarship Breakfast in June.

Each year, ARJ Civic has increased the number of scholarships awarded to Newark students. This past year, ARJ Civic awarded $11,000 in scholarships to 13 deserving students so they could continue their education both in high school and college

"We know our donors have many options when it comes to supporting charitable organizations," said Iris Ramos, the chair of ARJ Civic. "We sincerely thank our supporters for their generosity and the confidence they have shown in our organization."
