Join Dr. Jennifer Turner as she leads in a run/walk on Saturday June 19 and June 26 at 10 a.m. for Team In Training’s Resilience Challenge, a nationwide 30-day movement and fundraising challenge in June in celebration of National Cancer Survivors Day. The challenge will support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s fight against cancer.
Participants can log miles and movement their way – running, walking, cycling – by signing up for The MAD COOL FITNESS CREW, a team of empowered, resilient people who want to take control of their health, not only for themselves, but also for their families and their communities.
Dr. Turner is a North Ward resident, marathoner/triathlete, health coach, and has a doctorate in public health, specializing in health education and behavioral science. She founded MAD COOL FITNESSⓇ to help people to learn how to be healthy by using behavioral science.
Resilience Challenge Components:
- In-Person: Turner will lead The MAD COOL FITNESS CREW NEWARK, in run/walks.
- Social and Virtual: On Facebook, Dr. Turner will challenge The MAD COOL FITNESS CREW to engage in 15 minutes of fitness every day – 10 minutes of physical activity and 5 minutes of mindfulness. She will post Brain + Behavior = BodyⓇ wellness tips and content to TNT’s Resilience Challenge and Dr. Jennifer Turner Facebook pages. She will also do live health coaching events for support, information, and inspiration to stay the healthy course.
